Ravi Foods Private Limited is an Indian food manufacturing company headquartered in Hyderabad, India.[1] Established in 1988 by Ravinder Kumar Agarwal. The company generated a revenue of Rs. 1,180 crore[2] for the financial year ending on March 31, 2024.[3][4][5]

Fire Incident

A major fire broke out at a prominent Ravi Foods biscuit factory in the Kattedan industrial area early on a Thursday, leaving the unit severely damaged. The fire, which started around 5 AM, was brought under control after nearly 14 hours, by 6:30 PM. A large quantity of stock and machinery was gutted in the incident.[6][7]

Controversies

On November 15, 2018, Income Tax officials conducted raids on the offices of Ravi Foods Private Limited in Hyderabad, along with DSA Builders and Constructions Company and Shanta Sriram Constructions.[8] The search operations extended to the residences of Ravi Foods' directors, including Ravinder Kumar Agarwal, Rajendra Kumar Agarwal, and Kedarnath Agarwal, as well as Shanta Sriram MD M. Narsaiah.[9][10][11]
