- 1954 – Two tornadoes struck Mississippi. An F3 tornado damaged twenty blocks of homes in Laurel, injuring 25 people. An F1 tornado in Smith County destroyed a home and injured two people. The total cost of damage was $760,000.
- 2024 – Part of a large, two-day outbreak, several significant tornadoes moved across southeastern Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. An EF2 tornado killed one person and injured four near Liverpool, Texas. A high-end EF3 tornado pass from near Galveston Bay and through McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge, injuring three people. Another EF3 tornado destroyed homes in Porter Heights, Texas, injuring one person. A third EF3 tornado destroyed a church and severely damaged homes in Bude, Mississippi.
