Pious Kwame Nkuah

Pious Kwame Nkuah is a Ghanaian politician and a member of Parliament for Sefwi Akontombra, Ghana. He is affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and was elected as the party's parliamentary candidate for Sefwi Akontombra in the western North region.[1][2]

Early life and education

He was born on 21 November 1976. He hails from Sefwi Akontombra in the Western North region of Ghana. He completed his Senior Secondary School Certificate Exams (SSSCE) in 1996 at TI Ahamadiya Senior High School, Kumasi, and furthered his education at the Kumasi Technical University , where he had his Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate in Mechanical Engineering in 2001. Kwame made his way to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) where he had his Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering and Master of Philosophy in Environmental Resources and Management in 2009 and 2018 respectively.[1]

Career

He has gained diverse experience, starting as a Metallurgist Intern at Anglogold Bibiani Limited, then advancing to a Teacher at Ghana Education Service, followed by the role of District Director at Youth Employment Agency, then served as the District Chief Executive for the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development. He was also the environmental and safety supervisor for Intermerc Ghana Limited and is also currently a member of the 9th Parliament of the fourth republic of Ghana.[1][3][4][5]
