ONE 173: Denver was a planned combat sports event produced by ONE Championship originally scheduled to take place on August 1, 2025, at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, United States.[1][2][3]
Background
[edit]The event was to mark the promotion's second visit to Denver and third held in United States, since ONE 168 in September 2024.[4]
The event was scheduled to be headline by a ONE Women's Atomweight World Championship unification bout between current champion (also a former ONE Women's Atomweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion) Stamp Fairtex and interim champion Denice Zamboanga.[5] However, it was announced that Stamp has unfortunately withdrawn due to a setback in her recovery from knee surgery. As a results, Stamp has agreed to relinquish her atomweight MMA title and Zamboanga will subsequently be promoted to undisputed champion.[6]
Due to Stamp versus Zamboanga falling through and the fact that several other targeted title fights did not come together for the event, the promotion will be postpone event in Denver to June 26, 2026.[6]
