Nkwatia Kwahu is a town in the Kwahu East district, a district in the Eastern Region of south Ghana. Nkwatia comes from the etymology nkwae + tia in the Kwahu Akan language. Nkwae means forests, and tia means short. This can be found in the publication of Morphosyntactic And Semantic Analysis Of Placenames In Kwahu In The Eastern Region Of Ghana.[1] It is also the home of the St.Peter's Boys Secondary School and also Nkwatia Presbyterian Secondary School.[2] [3]
Education
[edit]Nkwatia Kwahu is known for the Nkwatia Secondary School and St. Peter's Secondary School and Nkwatia Presby Secondary school (Nkwasco)[4][5] The school is a second cycle institution.[6] It is the largest town in the Kwahu East District.
