Nicholas Thabet

Brigadier General Nicolas Thabet is a high ranking officer of the Lebanese Armed Forces who was appointed by Rudolph Haykal on March 14, 2025, as the new commander of the Southern Litani Sector in the Lebanese Army.[1][2][3]

Career

Thabet's role as the new commander of the Southern Litani Sector succeeds General Edgard Lawandos, who was appointed as the new head of State Security during a Cabinet meeting on March 13, 2025.[1]

Nicholas Thabet was involved in legal proceedings in the United States. In 2017, he filed a personal injury case against Yamaha Motor Corporation USA in Los Angeles County.[4] Additionally, Thabet was named as a defendant in an automobile tort case filed by Jorge Arzeta, also in Los Angeles County.[5]
