Never Stop (stylized in all caps) is a collaborative extended play (EP) by American rappers King Combs, son of rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs, and Kanye West. It was released on June 27, 2025, by Goodfellas Entertainment. It follows Combs' debut extended play, Cyncerely, C3 (2019),[1] as well as West's twelfth studio album, Bully (2025).[2] The album is the first collaborative project from Combs and the sixth collaborative effort from West (following Vultures 2, a project with Ty Dolla Sign under the ¥$ name). Combs and West served as executive producers on the album alongside lead artists, and West's daughter North, JAAS, and the Hooligans served as features on the project, with the former two appearing on the lead promotional single "Lonely Roads", and the latter appearing on "Diddy Free".

Background

[edit]

The song "Diddy Free" was first created for West's upcoming studio album, In a Perfect World,[3] with the original version of it leaking in March 18 after a copy of the album was bought by Discord users for $999, the proceeds of which went to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.[4][5]

On June 12, CNN would report that West and King Combs began working on music after the former had attempted to attend Sean Combs' trial.[6] The next day, West would briefly appear at the trial, but left the courthouse only 40 minutes later.[7]

Composition

[edit]

The album contains 7 tracks, the first album from West to have that amount since his collaborative project with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghosts (credited to the group of the same name). The album is also the first collaborative project from Ye since Vultures 2 with Ty Dolla Sign, under the ¥$ name, and is King Combs first collaborative project (alongside being Combs' first project since his Cyncerely, C3 album in 2019). Despite its billing as a collaborative project, West mainly helms in a producer role, only appearing on the track "People Like Me".[8]

Songs

[edit]

The album opens with "Lonely Roads", a song featuring West's daughter North West and Chicago singer JAAS. The next track, "Kim", is a tribute to King Combs' late mother, Kim Porter.[9][10] "People Like Me" features a verse from West, who leans into a "villain" persona.[8] Combs' verse defends his father, saying that "[my] father's a hustler, it's not my fault your dad's poor."[10] The fourth track, "Diddy Free", calls for Sean Combs' freedom, with the chorus repeating "niggas ain't going to sleep 'til we see Diddy free." King Combs' verse criticizes how the mainstream media views him and his family, rapping: "Like damn, why the fuck I'm in these tabloids? / If it ain't me, it's my pops or my bitch."[11]

Promotion and release

[edit]

The song "Lonely Roads", originally titled "Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine", was released as a promotional single on March 15, 2025.[12] It received negative attention from the media due to the fact that Sean Combs originally featured on the song alongside North, which was seen as a danger due to the multiple sexual misconduct allegations Combs is accused of.[13] Additionally, West had attempted to get his daughter to meet Combs, and also briefly feuded with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, as she attempted to block the song's release on streaming services.[14][13]

The album's cover art is a photo of Sean Combs' former Bad Boy Worldwide office, located in in New York.[15]
