The National Parking Platform is a British government funded mobile app.[1] The creation of the app was intended to alleviate the downloading of multiple apps by drivers in the United Kingdom.[1] After a trial phase control of the app was given to the British Parking Association.[1]

History

In 2019, the Department for Transport began developing the app.[2]

In February 2025, the department wtihdrew public funding from the development of the app.[3]

RingGo, JustPark and PayByPhone joined the scheme.[4]

Initially the implementation of the scheme started with ten local authorities.[5]
