The National Institute of Technology (Urdu: نیشنل انسٹیٹیوٹ آف ٹیکنالوجی), abbreviated as NIT, is a private university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
Description
[edit]The university was established through a charter granted by the Government of Pakistan on 25 January 2025.[1] It was founded by Shahzeb Awan, a University of London alumnus, and Jahanzeb Burana, a Harvard alumnus.[2] Faisal Bari serves as its inaugural vice chancellor.[2]
It is created in partnership with Arizona State University.[3] The partnership was officially signed at a ceremony held at Arizona State University’s campus in Tempe on 16 April 2025.[4] It will offer programmes mirroring those offered at Arizona State University.[5]
It will commence operations in October 2025.[5]
