Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is an upcoming video game developed and published by Digital Eclipse through Atari. It is a compilation of several earlier fighting games in the Mortal Kombat series, originally released between 1992 and 2003. The compilation is scheduled for release in 2025 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Gameplay

[edit]

The game compiles multiple versions of the first four Mortal Kombat games, including their arcade, home console, and portable versions, as well as select handheld entries.[2] All games in the collection will support online multiplayer with rollback netcode.[3] Optimal menu toggles will allow players to unlock each game's hidden content, as well as access developer menus and other hidden options.[3] The game will feature substantial behind the scenes material, including interviews with original development team members such as Ed Boon and John Tobias, using the same "interactive timeline" format seen in other Digital Eclipse compilations such as Atari 50.[4][5] Character profiles and timelines that summarize the series' narrative are also included.[3]

Games

The following games and versions are confirmed for inclusion in Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, with additional games to be announced:[3]
