Matthew Senanou (born 21 March 2003) is an American professional footballer who plays as a center back for MLS Next Pro club Colorado Rapids 2.
Early life
[edit]Senanou was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 21st, 2003. His family is from Ghana and has affiliations with the Ewe tribe.[1]
College career
[edit]Senanou started his career at UNC Chapel Hill appearing in 3 games in 2021, and no games in 2022.[1] Before the 2023 season Senanou would transfer to Xavier University where he would play two seasons playing a total of 30 games. At the end of his Junior year at Xavier Senanou would be picked 6th overall in the 2025 MLS Superdraft, this is the highest pick in Xavier's history.[2][3]
