MacCarthy Mac-Gbathy

MacCarthy Mac-Gbathy is a Ghanaian entrepreneur and the founder of HOPin Academy, a Ghanaian Ecosystem Development Organization that provides opportunities for young people and women in Northern Ghana to curb rural-urban migration and reduce unemployment through entrepreneurship and startup development, and human capital development.[1][2]

He attended Tamale Technical University with HND in Marketing and Communication and later awarded a degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Career

MacCarthy founded HOPin Academy in northern Ghana as spaces and platforms for social entrepreneurs. Since its inception,MacCarthy has led over 1,500 entrepreneurs within Northern Ghana. Through entrepreneurship community development, he manages incubation programs for startups with over 550 members.[citation needed][3][dead link]
