Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film was notable for its fresh narrative, vibrant performances, and appeal among younger audiences. Its triumph at the box office proved that a strong script paired with sharp direction could succeed without the presence of big stars.
Since then, Luv Films has delivered a range of successful and critically appreciated films such as De De Pyaar De, Malang, Chhalaang, Vadh, Kuttey, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Wild Wild Punjab, and Devmanus (their recent Marathi venture).
