Luc Cerverón Ruiz, known simply as Luc Cerverón, is a Spanish artist, illustrator, comic book author, and transgender rights activist. He currently serves as the facilitator of the Trans and Non-Binary Group at the LGTBI Center of Barcelona.[1]
Career
[edit]In 2019, he joined the inclusive erotic comic initiative Sextories, creating the cover for the fourth issue—the first published under the new label of the same name—with contributions from authors such as Rocío Vidal, Sara Soler, Marta Masana, Bea Tormo, and Antonio Guardiola.[2] He also wrote stories for both the fourth and fifth volumes of the anthology.[3][4]
In 2020, he took part in the “Q Reglas” campaign, which included a debate and a theatrical improvisation at the Ateneu del Raval, a transfeminist community space.[5]
He was one of the interviewees in the 2022 documentary Barcelona fuera del armario (Barcelona Out of the Closet),[6] which explores the history of the LGBT movement in the city.[7]
He also works as the coordinator of the Trans and Non-Binary Group at the Barcelona LGTBI Center, which provides a social and support network for transgender and non-binary people. The initiative fosters exploration of gender identity individually and collectively in an empathetic space free from judgment or pressure.[8]
He has also served as a trainer and health agent at Barcelona's Trànsit clinic, providing education on trans health, sexual diversity, and the medicalization of trans and LGBT people in healthcare systems.[9]
He has also been a guest on several episodes of the podcast Ja m'entens by Catalunya Ràdio.[10]
