Lorenzo Styles Jr. (born September 9, 2002)[1] is an American football defensive back for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He previously played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Early life and high school
[edit]Styles Jr. attended high school at Pickerington Central located in Pickerington, Ohio. Coming out of high school, he committed to play college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.[2]
College career

[edit]During the 2022 Fiesta Bowl, he notched eight receptions for 136 yards and a touchdown, in a loss to Oklahoma State to end the 2021 season.[3] In week one of the 2022 season, Styles Jr. hauled in a career long 54 yard reception in a loss to Ohio State.[4] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, he decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[5] Styles Jr. finished his two year career with the Fighting Irish from 2021 through 2022, recording 54 receptions for 684 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 86 yards.[6]
Ohio State
[edit]Styles Jr. transferred to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes.[7] Ahead of his first season he switched from wide receiver to defensive back.[8] During the 2023 season, Styles Jr. used the season to redshirt after just playing on special teams.[9] He finished the 2024 season, recording 16 tackles and four pass deflections, as he helped Ohio State to a national championship win.[10]
Personal life
[edit]Styles is the son of former NFL linebacker Lorenzo Styles Sr. and the brother of current Ohio State teammate Sonny Styles.[11]
