In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), a temple is a building dedicated to be a House of the Lord. Church members consider temples to be the most sacred structures on earth.
The LDS Church has 382 temples in various phases, which includes 207 dedicated temples (200 operating, 7 undergoing renovations [ 1] with dedications scheduled , 52 under construction , 4 with groundbreaking ceremonies scheduled ,[ 2] announced (not yet under construction).[ 3]
