She tells him that she is impressed with Oguri Cap's talent, and wants to scout her for national level racing. This leaves Kitahara conflicted, as moving to the nationals would allow Oguri Cap to race to her full potential at the cost of giving up on the Tokai Derby, and he will have to stay behind in Kasamatsu since he does not have a national trainer license. Oguri Cap meanwhile remains committed to going to the Tokai Derby to fulfill her promise to both Kitahara and Fujimasa March. Narita Top Road wins the Yayoi Sho, narrowly beating out Admire Vega. She is excited at the win, since it qualifies her to the prestigious Japanese Triple Crown races. Both Narita Top Road and Admire Vega promise to have a rematch in the upcoming Satsuki Sho, while the flamboyant and theatrical T M Opera O wins her first graded race, allowing her to be qualified in the Satsuki Sho as well. All three racers train hard to prepare for the race as they meet by the entrance to the course, with each declaring that they will be the winner. Narita Top Road and Admire Vega fight for first place, only for T M Opera O to upstage them both for a surprise win, taking the Satsuki Sho. Narita Top Road is disappointed at failing the expectations of her trainer Okita, but both he and her fans still show their support for her, and she sets her sights for the Japanese Derby.
2 | "A Glorious Stage" Transliteration: "Eikō no Butai" (Japanese: 栄光の舞台) | Directed by : Cheng Zhi Liao Storyboarded by : Takaomi Kanasaki | Kiyoko Yoshimura | April 23, 2023[56]
Admire Vega is frustrated at her poor performance in the Satsuki Sho and promises to redeem herself at the Japanese Derby. Narita Top Road reviews her performance in the race, where Okita points out she was at a disadvantage due to the racetrack's tight corners. Okita trains Narita Top Road to play by her strengths in speed with the upcoming course's longer straightaways in mind, while T M Opera O basks in the new media attention following her win. Admire Vega camps out during a new moon, recounting how she wants to honor her late twin sister, who was sacrificed for her to live, by winning the Japanese Derby. On the day of the race, Narita Top Road overtakes T M Opera O, but they are both caught off-guard by a last-minute spurt from Admire Vega, who wins the Japanese Derby. Admire Vega feels a sense of closure with her victory, and T M Opera O, though dismayed at her loss, applauds her. Narita Top Road, however, breaks down in tears believing she has let down Okita and her fans.
3 | "Reason to Run" Transliteration: "Hashiru Riyū" (Japanese: 走る理由) | Chihaya Tanaka | Ryōko Yusawa | April 30, 2023[57]
Admire Vega has nightmares about her sister due to believing she forgot about her in the euphoria of winning the race. She later joins Narita Top Road, Okita, and T M Opera O to a summer training camp. While T M Opera O relaxes, Admire Vega pushes herself to train with her leg injury out of a need to race for her sister's sake. Narita Top Road also trains despite being offered to cool down, prompting Okita to ask about her dedication to training. Narita Top Road confides that she fears of her fans abandoning her after repeated losses. Okita counters that they follow her for her perseverance even after losing, revealing he also invited them to set up a festival to cheer her up. Admire Vega later has a premonition of breaking her leg at the Kikuka-sho, which she accepts as punishment to atone for her sister. At the next preliminary race, Narita Top Road loses to Admire Vega again, though Narita Top Road strives to improve. She later sees Admire Vega being only interested in winning the Kikuka-sho.
4 | "One Dream" Transliteration: "Omoi wa Hitotsu" (Japanese: 想いはひとつ) | Yū Kinome & Shūhei Fuchimoto | Kiyoko Yoshimura | May 7, 2023[58]
While training with Okita, Narita Top Road asks T M Opera O if she experiences self-doubt, and the latter remarks having her sights set to the future. Inspired by T M Opera O's outlook, Narita Top Road approaches Admire Vega and shares her admiration towards her racing. She proclaims her desire to be her rival, but Admire Vega remains wracked by her guilt. At the Kikuka-sho, Narita Top Road controls the pack's pace around the course, as T M Opera O and Admire Vega trail behind her. Admire Vega, still tormented by the premonition, starts her spurt, forcing T M Opera O to follow suit. Seeing this, Narita Top Road begins her spurt and gains a massive lead. Admire Vega falls behind, as the spirit of her sister appears and insists that she move past her trauma so she can enjoy racing as herself. Despite T M Opera O catching up, Narita Top Road prevails and wins the Kikuka-sho. Narita Top Road takes pride in her hard-won victory, while Admire Vega experiences catharsis no longer being haunted by her sister's memory. Narita Top Road then performs her Winning Concert alongside T M Opera O and Admire Vega. |

After witnessing Fuji Kiseki win a race, Jungle Pocket is inspired to enroll in Tracen Academy to become a racer herself and joins Fuji Kiseki's team led by the trainer Tanabe. Jungle Pocket quickly rises through the rankings and enters her first Grade 1 race at the Hopeful Stakes but loses to Agnes Tachyon. Between her loss and witnessing T M Opera O win the Arima Kinen, Jungle Pocket is inspired to get stronger to defeat them. She makes a direct challenge to Agnes Tachyon, who gladly accepts and begins closely observing Jungle Pocket's training with Dantsu Flame and Manhattan Cafe and her subsequent races. Fuji Kiseki privately confides to Jungle Pocket that she was forced to retire due to an injury before she could compete in the Japanese Derby, hoping that Jungle Pocket can win it to fulfill her promise of making Tanabe a "Derby Trainer". Jungle Pocket gets a rematch against Agnes Tachyon at the Satsuki Sho, only to be soundly beaten again. Following the race, Agnes Tachyon announces she is taking an indefinite hiatus from racing, shocking everyone. Jungle Pocket angrily confronts Agnes Tachyon with Dantsu Flame and Manhattan Cafe, as Agnes Tachyon responds that she is simply more interested in her experiments than racing. After the three leave, Agnes Tachyon vaguely remarks she wants to see them surpass her. Tanabe meets with a frustrated Jungle Pocket and points out that Agnes Tachyon likely suffered a leg injury from pushing herself to surpass a horse girl's limit, before motivating her to continue training despite Agnes Tachyon's absence. Jungle Pocket races in the Japanese Derby, as Agnes Tachyon watches on, hoping her provocations will motivate Jungle Pocket. Jungle Pocket wins the race and fulfills Fuji Kiseki and Tanabe's promise, with a determined Dantsu Flame following in second place. Despite her newfound popularity, Jungle Pocket remains haunted by the inability to prove herself against Agnes Tachyon and feeling she is not strong enough, resulting in her losing the Kikuka-sho to Manhattan Cafe. Seeing Jungle Pocket's troubles, Fuji Kiseki races her, reminding Jungle Pocket the reason she started racing. Jungle Pocket later visits a lonely Agnes Tachyon, reiterating her desire to race against her. At the Japan Cup, Jungle Pocket faces off against the undefeated T M Opera O, and manages to overcome her self-doubt and win the race. Agnes Tachyon witnesses Jungle Pocket's drive to race and is inspired to end her indefinite hiatus and resume racing. At a future race, Jungle Pocket and Agnes Tachyon have an opportunity for a rematch, and afterwards, they perform a Winning Concert together with Dantsu Flame and Manhattan Cafe. |
