Kota Takahashi (髙橋海大, born 31 July 2003) is a Japanese freestyle wrestler who competes in the 74 kg weight class.
Career
[edit]Takahashi won the gold medal at the 2024 Asian Wrestling Championships in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, in the men's 74 kg category.[1] Later that year, he became the U23 World Champion in Tirana, Albania, winning the gold medal at 74 kg.[2]
He previously claimed a bronze medal at the 2022 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra, Spain, in the 70 kg division.[3]
Takahashi finished fifth at the 2024 World Wrestling Championships in the men's 74 kg event.[4]
As a cadet, he won gold medals at the Asian Cadet Wrestling Championships in 2018 and 2019.[5]
