Kati Rán
Kati Rán is a Dutch musician and historical instrumentalist,[1][2] her style being compared with Wardruna, Heilung, and Faun.[3] She released her first album LYS in 2015 under the bandname "L.E.A.F." with guest musicians including Kai Uwe Faust of Heilung and Oliver S. Tyr of Faun.[4] It was sung in Norwegian, English, German, and Old Norse languages,[5] and used historical folk instruments.[6]
Her second album, the Dark Nordic (Neo)Folk SÁLA, produced by Jaani Peuhu,[7] was released on Svart Records in 2024.[1][8] It was inspired by feminine themes in Norse mythology.[2] Guest musicians on SÁLA included Gaahl, Jaani Peuhu, Heilung and Mitch Harris.[2]
Her television credits include Vikings: Valhalla (2022) as a historic instruments musician, singer and vocalist.[9]
