Kasidet Plookphol (Thai: กษิดิ์เดช ปลูกผล; born 25 October 1996), nicknamed Book (Thai: บุ๊ค), is a Thai actor, singer, and model under GMMTV.[1] He was a member of the boy band "Cute Chef" during his university days.[2] His notable works include Enchanté (2022), A Boss and a Babe (2023), Only Friends (2023), and Perfect 10 Liners (2024).
Personal life
[edit]Kasidet was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand on 25 October 1996. He completed his primary education at Phaitho Udom Suksa School, his secondary education at Sarawittaya School, and his bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi.[3]
Career
[edit]In 2020, Kasidet was signed as an artist by the production and talent agency GMMTV. That same year, he made his television acting debut as a supporting character in the series Friend Forever and made a cameo appearance as himself in the film Pojaman Sawang Ka Ta.
In 2022, Book landed his first main role as Theo in the series Enchanté alongside Jiratchapong Srisang (Force). Book and Force quickly gained popularity as "ForceBook", one of GMMTV's "established couples," or actors who frequently appear together in romantic series and additionally participate in shows, fan meetings, promotional events, and interviews together. They are actually close friends who attended the same school from kindergarten to high school.[2][4] They first played lovers in Enchanté. They later starred together in dramas such as A Boss and a Babe, Only Friends, and Perfect 10 Liners.
In 2023, Kasidet starred in A Boss and a Babe as Cher, a gamer who wants to excel in the e-sports industry. However, his plans are drastically altered when he is forced to intern at a company where his boss, Gun assigns him some very strange tasks, confusing Cher about Gun's true intentions. In the same year, Book and Force reprised their roles in Our Skyy 2 and starred in Only Friends.
In 2024, Kasidet continued his work with GMMTV. He and Force attended the Dolce&Gabbana Party during Milan Menswear Fall/Winter 2024–2025 in Milan, Italy, in January.[5][failed verification] They were also featured on the cover of KAZZ Magazine's Issue 205 for Perfect 10 Liners. Throughout the year, they participated in various promotional activities and merchandise releases, including a 2024 Christmas Collection.
In 2025, Kasidet is scheduled to hold his first fansign in Guangzhou, China, in June. He and Force are also expected to be part of the LOL Fanfest 2025.
