Jozo Acksteiner

Jozo Acksteiner (born 1969 in Darmstadt, Germany) is a full professor for general business administration, in particular logistics, at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences. His research and teaching activities focus on supply chain management, business analytics and geographic analytics. Since 2018, Acksteiner has been the course director of the dual bachelor's degree program in logistics management.[1] He is a member of the Extended Board of the Hesse University Teachers Association.

Professional career

Acksteiner completed his degree in pure mathematics at the University of Wuppertal in 1996. As part of his doctoral studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, US, Acksteiner received a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Applied Mathematics in 1999 and earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial and Systems Engineering in 2001, specializing in Queueing Theory and Supply Chain Management.

Acksteiner has worked as a strategy consultant and manager in the areas of supply chain management, IT and business analytics. His professional stations include Strategy& (formerly Booz Allen Hamilton), Arcandor, DHL, TNT Post. Before his appointment as a professor at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences in 2017, he was a member of the Strategic Planning and Modeling Group (SPaM) at Hewlett Packard and Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Singapore. In Singapore, Acksteiner also taught as an adjunct associate professor at the National University of Singapore. Acksteiner was co-chair of the Supply Chain Management Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and board member of the Georgia Institute of Technology alumni Singapore.
