Jordan Yost (born December 21, 2006) is an American high school baseball shortstop. He was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the first round of the 2025 MLB draft.
Career
[edit]Yost attended Sickles High School in Citrus Park, Florida.[1] As a senior in 2025, he batted .420 with four home runs and 26 RBIs.[2] After the season, he participated in the MLB Draft Combine at Chase Field.[3] He committed to play college baseball at the University of Florida.[4] The day of the draft, Perfect Game Baseball ranked him the 65th best player in the country, while being 3rd best player and best shortstop in Florida.[5]
Yost was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the first round with the 24th overall selection in the 2025 Major League Baseball draft.[6][7]
