Jiro Hata is a Japanese politician who is a member of the House of Councillors of Japan.

Biography

He was born in Tokyo and attended Wake Forest University.[1]

On December 27, 2020, his brother Yuichiro Hata, a member of the House of Councilors, died of coronovarius. He decided to run in a by-election in April 2021, defeating Yutaka Komatsu, a former member of the House of Representatives of Japan.[2] He was re-elected in 2022.[3]
