Jaime Quanita Perrault (born August 8, 2006) is a Canadian soccer player who plays as a forward and full-back for FC Nordsjælland in the Danish Kvindeligaen. She has represented Canada at the under-17 and under-20 levels.[1]
Early life and background
[edit]Perrault was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and adopted as an infant. She was raised in Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge, British Columbia.[1] She began playing soccer at age five with West Coast Soccer and later moved to Coastal FC in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League.[2]
Youth career
[edit]In 2019, she joined the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite Academy.[3] She helped the team win back-to-back League1 British Columbia titles in 2023 and 2024.[4]
In the 2023 semifinal, she scored two goals off the bench.[5] She originally committed to Texas A&M for 2024[6] but chose to pursue a professional path instead.
Club career
[edit]In January 2025, Perrault signed her first pro contract with Danish club FC Nordsjælland.[1] She made her Kvindeliga debut on March 8, 2025.[7] As of June 2025, she has made 8 league appearances, 3 Danish Cup appearances (scoring once), and 3 UEFA Women's Champions League appearances.[8]
International career
[edit]Perrault joined Canada Soccer’s youth program in 2021. She earned 10 caps and scored once with the U-17 team, competing in the 2022 CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship and the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.[9]
In 2024, she was named to Canada’s squad for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, earning 7 caps and scoring once.[10][11]
Style of play
[edit]Perrault plays primarily as a forward or full-back. She is known for her speed, ability to beat defenders in 1v1 situations, and strong defensive awareness.[12]
Personal life
[edit]Her mother is originally from Liverpool, England, and her father from Vancouver, B.C. She credits her family's support as key to her development.[1] She supports Liverpool F.C. and has cited Christine Sinclair, Mohamed Salah, and Usain Bolt as early inspirations.[13]
