James Edwin Theodore Bowden (September 14, 1857 – November 19, 1930) was an American politician. He served as the 24th and 31st preconsolidation mayor of Jacksonville, Florida from 1899-1901 and again from 1915-1917.[2]

He moved to Waycross, Georgia and served in the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia Senate.He married Cora Elizabeth King of Arcadia, Florida, daughter of Ziba King.[3]
