International Federation for Produce Standards

The International Federation for Produce Standards (IFPS) is an agricultural industry coalition responsible for assigning Price Look-Up (PLU) codes for agricultural products for retail sale in grocery stores. The organization was formed in 2001 by multiple fruit and vegetable industry associations. [1] The IFPS is also concerned with food safety in the consumer fruit and vegetable industries.
