Hu Zhiguang

Hu Zhiguang (March 1930 - February 27, 2025, Chinese: 胡之光), a native of Rongcheng, Hebei, was a politician of the People's Republic of China. He was a member of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the 14th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Public Security and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee.[1]
Biography
[edit]In August 1947, Hu Zhiguang joined the revolutionary work, and in September of the same year he joined the CCP. From October 1947 to March 1955, Hu Zhiguang successively served as the head of the fifth sub-bureau of Qiqihar Municipal Public Security Bureau, the head of the fourteenth central police station, the head of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, deputy section chief. During 1955 March to June 1966, he successively served as a teacher of the Central Public Security College Political Economy Teaching and Research Room, the Central School of Politics and Law Political Economy Teaching and Research Room, the director of the teaching and research department, the propaganda division of the Ministry of Politics and Law, deputy director, etc. [2]
From March 1977 to July 1983, Hu Zhiguang served successively as Secretary of the Party Branch of the Teachers' Training Class of the Central School of Political and Legal Cadres, Director of the Teaching Department, and Assistant to the President; from July 1983 to November 1995, he served successively as a member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Public Security, Director of the Political Department, Vice-Minister of Public Security, Member of the Party Committee, Director of the Political Department, and Secretary of the Organized Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Ministry of Public Security and a member of the Party Committee;[3] and in 1992 he was awarded the rank of Deputy Chief Superintendent of the Police.[4][5]
