The House of Temenggong (Malay: Wangsa Temenggung), or the Temenggong dynasty, is the current ruling dynasty of Johor, Malaysia.
Background
[edit]Members of the House of Temenggong trace their descent back to Temenggong Daeng Ibrahim, who in turn was also descended from a family of Temenggongs of Johor who dominated the politics of the Johor Sultanate.[1] Sultan Abu Bakar, the 21st sultan of Johor and the 1st sultan of modern Johor, was the founding patriarch of this House.[2]
The current head of the House is Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar of Johor.
