Hemant Khandelwal (born 3 September 1964) is an Indian politician who currently serves as President of Bharatiya Janata Party – Madhya Pradesh. He serves as an MLA representing the Betul Assembly constituency in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, having won elections in 2013 and 2023.[1] Previously, he had served as Member of Parliament representing the Betul Lok Sabha constituency in the 14th Lok Sabha from 2008-2009 succeeding his father Vijay Kumar Khandelwal.[2]

Early life and education

Hemant Khandelwal was born on 3 September 1964 in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India. He currently resides in Betul, Madhya Pradesh. He holds a bachelor's degree in commerce and a bachelor's degree in law, both obtained from J.H. Government College, Betul.

He is married to Ritu Khandelwal from West Bengal. He is a parent of a son and a daughter. He is the son of late Vijay Khandelwal. He held the position of state treasurer in Bharatiya Janata Party – Madhya Pradesh. He is BJP President in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
