Hapona tararua is a species of Toxopidae spider that is endemic to New Zealand.[1]
Taxonomy
[edit]This species was described by Ray Forster in 1970 from a male specimen.[1] The holotype is stored in Te Papa Museum under registration number AS.000117.[2]
Description
[edit]The male is recorded at 1.86mm in length.[1]
Distribution
[edit]This species is only known from Wellington, New Zealand.[1]
Conservation status
[edit]Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifier of "Data Poor: Size", "Data Poor: Trend" and "One Location".[3]
