Career
[edit]2020–2022: Early career GusoPapi began his creative journey on YouTube.[12][13][14]in 2020 by uploading lo-fi music[15][16], including both his original tracks and royalty-free instrumentals[17]available online. His videos began receiving thousands of views, helping him steadily grow his audience. Within a year, he started earning revenue from his content and gained a dedicated following. However, as listening trends shifted and interest in lo-fi music[12] declined partly due to changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic his viewership began to slow down. Despite this, by 2025, his channel had reached over 55,000 subscribers[14] and more than 25 million total views.[14]
2023–2024: Rise on Snapchat Spotlight In 2023, GusoPapi began posting on Snapchat[18]Spotlight, creating over seven different accounts and experimenting with a variety of niche video content, including movie clips, sports highlights, history facts, gaming, and relatable videos. His relatable content stood out, regularly earning over 5,000 views per post.
By early 2024, he began incorporating his own videos with relatable text and images,[19][20][21] which significantly increased engagement. Several of these original videos went viral, with over 15 of them surpassing 1 million views each. This ongoing momentum led to rapid growth in both visibility and followers.
As of 2025, GusoPapi has gained over 120,000 followers[18] on Snapchat Spotlight, with his content amassing more than 50 million total views[18] across all accounts In addition to video content, he has also created over 12 Snapchat Lens,[18] with three of them each surpassing 1 million plays[22][23][24] when combined with interactive use on the app.
2025––present : Music Breakthrough By 2025, GusoPapi returned to music with a renewed focus, aiming to create his own sound. He spent time daily searching for beats on YouTube to rap over, dedicating himself to improving his skills. His music spans several genres, including hip-hop, UK rap, R&B, and reggae.
In April 2025, he released his debut single, "Wondering[25][2]," on SoundCloud[25].[26] Building on the confidence and audience he gained from Snapchat, GusoPapi continued to produce music[27], releasing over ten tracks on the platform. As of mid-2025, he is actively working on new music and exploring future projects.
2025-present : In 2025, GusoPapi created a 16-minute documentary titled Culture Day at Deering High School[5][5], capturing the highlights and behind-the-scenes moments of his school’s cultural celebration. Inspired by iconic figures such as Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee both known for blending action, storytelling, and filmmaking—GusoPapi developed a passion for directing and editing.
This project marked his debut as both a director[28][29][30][31] and editor[32][30].[31] also Actor[33] Afterward, he began offering video editing services to other creators, turning his skills into paid work. Motivated by the experience, he expressed interest in continuing documentary filmmaking and has plans to direct a full-length movie[34][31] in the future.
