Grupo Minero Las Cenizas is a medium-scale Chilean copper mining company. It owns mines in the regions of Antofagasta and Valparaíso.[1] In 2022 it purchased Franke mine and its mineral processing facilities from KGHM Polska Miedź.[1][2] Grupo Minero Las Cenizas had formerly a gold mining operation in Alhué.[2][3] The company was established in 1978 and grew out from its base of operations in the mining district of Cabildo in Valparaíso Region.[2] In 2015 the company produced 25,000 metric tons of copper.[3]
