Government High School Bhagwal is a government-run secondary school located in the Union Council Bhagwal[1] in Kharian Tehsil, Gujrat District, Punjab, Pakistan.[2]

Evolution of the Institution

It was established in 1927[3] as a primary school.[4] In 1990, it was upgraded to a middle school and further elevated to a high school in 1997.reflecting its continued growth and commitment to education. Today, the school operates from a new building located on Chak Bakhtawar,Rd,[5] providing improved facilities and a better learning environment for students.

Developments

Due to a shortage of classrooms, a computer lab, and a mosque, Al Khidmat Welfare Society stepped forward and began construction of the 'Al Khidmat Block' on 11 May 2024. The project is expected to be completed within three years.[6]

Affiliation

The institution is affiliated to the Department of Education, Government of Punjab. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Gujranwala is the examinations affiliate.[7]

The school has graduated academicians, doctors, engineers, lawyers, bankers, military officers, and other professionals.[8] its also important centre of education for surrounding areas, such as Dham, Dhall Gujjar, and, Golra Hashim.[9]
