Gian Luca Mazzella

Gian Luca Mazzella is an Italian wine grower,[1] former executive consultant and earlier journalist. In 2024 he released [2] the first wine from his own estate in Paternopoli, Irpinia.[3] This wine was named Paterico®[4] and it is a Taurasi Riserva DOCG.[5] Few months after its release, Paterico has already been compared [6] to the most iconic wines of Italy, like the Brunello di Montalcino Case Basse di Gianfranco Soldera and the Barolo Monfortino [7] by Giacomo Conterno. Few weeks later, Gian Luca Mazzella has been named "winemaker of the year".[8]

Gian Luca Mazzella has been a consultant for various renowned realities within the wine sector, and sometimes also for other sectors as well as for European Television industry.

He also worked for European newspapers.[9] and magazines[10] as editor, columnist or feature writer, sometimes under a pseudonym.

He conducted historic wine tastings.[11][12][13][14][15]
