Life and career
[edit]Glidden was born on December 5, 1913, in Binghamton, New York, raised in Englewood, New Jersey. He attended both Phillips Exeter Academy and Harvard University. After graduating, he studied at Art Students League of New York and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
