Gamma Communications plc is a UK-based telecommunications business specialising in Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS). It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.[2]

History

[edit]

The company was established by Phil Corbishley and Paul Banner with the intention of buying the assets of distressed telecommunications businesses, including those of Atlantic Telecom, in 2001.[3] It was floated on the Alternative Investment Market in 2014.[4]

Gamma acquired a telecommunications Dutch-based business, Dean One, in October 2018.[5] It then bought a Spanish-based communications service provider, Voz Telecom, in April 2020,[6] and it acquired a Lancashire-based business providing multiple communication tools in a single platform, Mission Labs, in March 2021.[7] After that it bought a German-based communications service provider, Placetel, in September 2024.[8][9]

The company moved from the Alternative Investment Market to the main market of the London Stock Exchange in May 2025.[10][11]

Operations

[edit]

The network operator, RWG Mobile, uses SIM cards supplied by Gamma on its EE and Three networks.[12]
