DescriptionCornell Box (flipped) and camera parameters.stl
English: Interior of a Cornell Box with positions and dimensions of the light source, short block, and tall block.
Import scale: 1cm
Camera data can't be embedded in the *.STL files, so if you would like to quickly recreate it, please use the parameters listed below.
Position of the camera:
X: (-27,8cm)
Y: (27.3cm)
Z:(-80cm)
Rotation of the camera should be all set to 0° (HPB), and by default, it should point straight into the box along the Z axis. Square aspect ratio (1:1) should be used to match the view with the other available references (either in the final output or the view/viewport settings).
Camera properties starting with the most reasonable way of configuring it:
- Focal length: 35mm
- Sensor size (Film Gate): 25mm
A less reasonable way of doing so...:
- Focal length: 50mm
- Sensor size (Film Gate): 36mm
...and in rare cases and game engines:
- Focal length: 50.8304mm
- Sensor size (Film Gate): 36mm
- Field of view (Horizontal): 39 °
- Field of view (Vertical): 22.5308 °

The Cornell Box is not copyrighted and is not a registered work of art or patent. It was created for research purposes in the field of computer graphics and is freely available for public use, including educational and non-commercial applications. Original useful data available on https://www.graphics.cornell.edu/online/box/data.html
Please keep in mind this is a flipped/mirrored version compiled from publicly shared data by Cornell University. If you would like to revert this operation, please scale the scene by -100% in the X axis (ZY plane). The flipped version has somewhat become the "standard" and it's not caused by the differences in default axis import settings across various software (but definitely influenced in some cases! : - )
