F A Sumon is a Bangladeshi singer, composer, and lyricist known for his contributions to Bengali-language sad, romantic, and melodic music.[1] His work also includes pop, folk, and fusion genres.

Career

Sumon began his professional music career in the early 2000s and became active in the Bangladeshi mainstream scene through various releases distributed by record labels such as G-Series and CD Choice. Early tracks that gained popularity include Tui Amari,[2] Mon Boro Beiman,[3] and Ore Amar Jan.

His songs have been covered by both Bangladeshi and international media outlets. The Times of India profiled Bhalobasi Khodar Kosom[4] and Sona Pakhi.[5]

Sumon has also been referenced in national media, including Kaler Kantho.[6][7] He was featured in the World Music segment on BBC Bangla.[8]

Television appearances

Sumon has appeared on several television music programs. In 2024, he was featured in NTV’s Ganer Bazar (Episode 111).[9] He also participated in a Desh TV interview where he discussed his early interest in sad music.[10]

In 2023, Sumon performed the playback track বুঝলো নারে কেউ for the Bengali film *ইন্দুবালা (Indubala)*.[9]
