Ertuğrul Ağca (born 2000) is a German freestyle wrestler who competes in the 97 kg weight class.

Career

Ertuğrul Ağca competed at the 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup in Belgrade, Serbia, in the men's freestyle 97 kg category. He won his opening match against Satywart Kadian of India (4–1), but was defeated by Valerii Andriitsev of Ukraine (0–5) in the quarter-finals, ultimately finishing in eighth place.[1][2]

In 2023, Ağca won one of the bronze medals at the 2023 European U23 Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania. After losing his first bout to Islam Ilyasov of Azerbaijan, he entered the repechage and defeated Kolyo Dimitrov of Bulgaria and Richard Vegh of Hungary to secure third place.[3]

Later that year, he competed at the 2023 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Tirana, Albania. He won his first-round match against Aiden Kenneth Stevenson of the United States (4–0), but lost in the quarter-finals to Sahil of India (7–9) and did not advance further. He finished in seventh place overall.[4]

In 2025, Ağca represented Germany at the senior level at the 2025 European Wrestling Championships held in Zagreb, Croatia. He was eliminated in the qualification round by Radosław Baran of Poland (1–4) and placed tenth in the final rankings.[5]

Domestically, Ağca is a multi-time German national champion. He won national titles in 2019 and 2024 in the 97 kg weight class while competing for the TV Essen-Dellwig club.[6]
