Ericah Shafudah is a Namibian politician, who is the country's Minister of Finance.[1]

Early life and career

Shafudah was born in Eendadi daShafudah village, Ohangwena region. She began her career as a teacher before transitioning to a role as an economist at the National Planning Commission.[2] In 2002, she joined the Ministry of Finance, where she worked for 22 years in various roles, including serving as executive director of finance.[3] Shafudah resigned in 2021 to join the United Nations World Food Program as a consultant, focusing on financial strategies for social programs.[4]

In March 2025, she was appointed to serve as Minister of Finance by Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.[1]
