The Emir of the Caucasus Emirate was the title used by leaders of the former jihadist militant group Caucasus Emirate.[2] There have been five emirs in total, including one that, due to a misunderstanding (claimed), mistakenly assumed control and was removed from office days later.[3]

On 2 July, senior Imarat Kavkaz commanders in Dagestan announced via social media that Magomed Suleymanov (alias Abu-Uthman al-Ghaymrawi or Abu Usman Gimrinsky) had been appointed as the new emir of the group.
