DramaBox

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

DramaBox is a duanju app developed by Beijing-based Dianzhong Technology for international markets in 2023. Since 2023, it has rapidly emerged through large-scale advertising campaigns and differentiated market strategies, becoming a key competitor to ReelShort, with particularly strong performance in the Southeast Asian market.[1] [2] In 2024, DramaBox was honored with the 2024 Sensor Tower Award for Best Short Drama App.[3] It also received Google Play's Best of 2024 Award in the "Best for Fun" category.[4] As of October 2024, the DramaBox app has reached over 200 countries and regions worldwide, with more than 1,000 drama series available on the platform. It has accumulated 90 million registered users and boasts 30 million monthly active users. In the duanju(short drama) sector, DramaBox ranks first globally in both daily active users and total revenue before October 2024.[5][6] In February 2025, it ranks second in downloads in markets like Europe and the US, and tops the download charts in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and several other markets.[7]
