Request to re-review promotional tag - Chesterbrook Academy

[edit]

Hello editors,

I’ve made several edits to address the

tag currently on the Chesterbrook Academy article. Specifically, I have:

  • Revised language to ensure a neutral point of view
  • Removed subjective or marketing-style phrases
  • Added inline citations from reliable, third-party sources

If any further improvements are needed, I’m happy to make additional changes. Otherwise, I’d appreciate a second look to determine if the promotional tag can be removed.

Thank you!

Citations Question

[edit]

@Vegantics, I'm only counting 7 citations from the Chesterbrook Academy website. I see you've counted more. Can you give feedback on which citations are not 3rd party? NR12141988 (talk) 19:25, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @NR12141988, Thanks for reaching out. WP:PRIMARY sources include those where the author is directly involved with the subject. In this case, Drexel University writing about their partnership with Chesterbrook Academy (and similar sources in this article) are still primary, even through they are not authored by Chesterbrook Academy. The main concern when a large portion of the article's sources are primary is that the article subject may lack significant secondary coverage necessary to establish notability. Thank you @Vegantics for this feedback. We will make sure future Wikis have a good balance. Are you able to get one of our other wikis reviewed? Merryhill School

Hi @NR12141988, I can take a look but it will probably be a couple of weeks as I have a bit of a backlog for requests to review. I appreciate your commitment to neutrality given your WP:COI. Vegantics (talk) 13:55, 23 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Vegantics, if we remove the Partnerships section which has a large amount of primary sources, could we get the flag removed at the top of our page? NR12141988 (talk) 19:58, 23 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @NR12141988, The awards and recognition section is also predominantly primary sources; if you remove those sections or find secondary sources I would say that removing the WP:PRIMARY template is entirely appropriate. Vegantics (talk) 14:58, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Vegantics perfect! I removed those sections and will remove the flag. Is there anything else we need to do? NR12141988 (talk) 15:00, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@NR12141988 Looks good to me, thank you for the collaborative discussion. Vegantics (talk) 15:03, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Vegantics How can we ensure our page will be visible to search engines? NR12141988 (talk) 15:05, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@NR12141988 That's really not my domain; my goal is to make Wikipedia accessible and accurate for its users. Wikipedia's content is automatically indexed by search engines but if you're trying to figure out SEO to increase this article's ranking, that becomes external promotional work that should not be a factor in how the article is written/edited.
