Zahi Addis (born 11 September 2003) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Hume City FC in the NPL Victoria.[1] Born in Australia to a multicultural background, he has been part of the Sri Lanka national football team setup.
Early life
[edit]Zahi Addis was born in Sydney, Australia. His father is English and his mother is Sri Lankan. He was raised in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales and began playing football at an early age. He played youth football for Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley FC and Byron Bay FC before joining the Newcastle Jets Academy. He later joined the Gold Coast United youth system, where he continued to develop.
Club career

[edit]Addis made his senior debut in 2020 at the age of 16, becoming Gold Coast United’s youngest-ever starter in the NPL Queensland. Over several seasons, he established himself as a consistent and dynamic presence at left-back.
Loan to Brisbane Roar
[edit]In September 2022, Addis joined Brisbane Roar FC on a youth development loan deal from Gold Coast United. During the 2022–23 season, he featured primarily in youth fixtures and pre-season games with the A-League Men’s squad.
Hume City
[edit]In June 2025, Addis transferred to Hume City FC in the NPL Victoria, joining from Gold Coast United on 24 June 2025 1. He became eligible to make his debut for the senior squad during their visit to South Melbourne on 27 June 2025 2.
International career
[edit]Through his mother, Addis is eligible to represent Sri Lanka at the international level. In June 2025, he was called up to the Sri Lanka training camp, indicating a potential international debut in the near future.
Music career
[edit]Outside of football, Addis is also a musician. He has independently released several tracks on SoundCloud, including "Back Of The Line" and "LOWKEY".
