Submission declined on 6 July 2025 by Gheus (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Comment: @Plettj: I looked over the sources for significant coverage and reliability. Four links had a non-passing mention of the subject. The speedcubing.org cites had borderline significant coverage but the source appears to be one person's self-published blog and online store, which should not be used in a biography of a living person. The other two only focus on the world record and do not cover the subject much. I believe this one will be declined if good sources are not found and added. ~UN6892 tc 15:10, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

Xuanyi Geng (Chinese: 耿暄一; pinyin: Gěng Xuānyī; born 21 March 2017)[1] is a Chinese competitive Rubik's Cube speedsolver.[2] He currently holds the record for fastest single 3×3×3 solve at 3.05 seconds[3][4][5][6] which he achieved at only 8 years old,[7] making him the youngest person to ever hold a 3×3×3 world record.[8] He also holds the 2nd fastest 3×3×3 average, at 4.32 seconds.[9][10]
As of July 7, 2025, Xuanyi has competed in 44 World Cube Association (WCA) competitions, with 12 gold, 25 silver, and 4 bronze medals to his name.[2] Notably, fellow Chinese speedcuber Yiheng Wang finished ahead of Xuanyi in 19 of his 25 silver-medal performances, including the 2025 World Championship.[2][11]
Cubing Career
[edit]At 6 years old, Xuanyi attended his first WCA competition, the Singapore Mini 2023,[12] finishing 3rd with a 3×3×3 average of 6.86 seconds. Since then, he has won 12 competitions including an international win in the Hong Kong Championship 2024, with a 5.43 second average.[13] He uses the full ZBLL method.[10][14]
He finished 2nd in his first world championship, the 2025 WCA World Championship on July 6, 2025, with a 4.49 second average.[2][11][15]
