Western Computer is an American information technology consulting company and value-added reseller specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) software and Microsoft 365.[1]. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Oxnard, California, Western Computer provides cloud-based solutions, implementation services, and support for Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform to businesses across North America. The company develops industry specific software add-ons for Dynamics 365—such as 365WineTrade, 365HomeBuilder, and 365REMAN— tailored for the wine & spirits distribution, residential home building, and remanufacturing sectors[2]. Western Computer is a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) and has been recognized as a top-tier Microsoft partner, including membership in Microsoft’s Inner Circle and multiple Partner of the Year award nominations. Since 2023, Western Computer operates under Pine Services Group, a subsidiary of Evergreen Services Group[3][4]. The company serves a diverse set of industries including Manufacturing, Consumer Packaged Goods, Food and Beverage, Wine & Spirits, and Distribution[5].
History
[edit]Western Computer was founded in 1987 by Tom Bardos in California. In its early years, the company focused on accounting and business management software, and it became a dedicated Microsoft ERP partner after Microsoft’s acquisitions of Navision and Axapta in the early 2000s. This alignment with Microsoft’s Dynamics product line led Western Computer to expand its practice to include Dynamics NAV, Dynamics AX, and eventually the full Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite of cloud ERP/CRM solutions. Over the decades, the firm grew by serving mid-market and enterprise clients in industries like distribution, manufacturing, and retail, and by developing its own software extensions for specialized sectors. In 2023, Evergreen Services Group acquired Western Computer as part of its expansion into the Microsoft Dynamics partner space. Kristen Sage was appointed as CEO in 2024, succeeding founder Tom Bardos[6].
Products and Services
[edit]Western Computer specializes in the implementation, customization, and support of Microsoft’s enterprise business applications, chiefly the Dynamics 365 family of ERP and CRM products[7]. The company implements Dynamics 365 Business Central (successor of Dynamics NAV) and Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (successor of Dynamics AX), along with modules for Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, and Microsoft 365[8][9][10].
Notable proprietary solutions include
- 365WineTrade for wine suppliers and distributors[11][12]
- 365HomeBuilder for home construction[13]
- 365REMAN for remanufacturing[14]
The company also offers services across Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Additional add-ons include 365ContainerImport, 365ParcelShip, and 365VendorRebates. Western Computer partners with multiple Independent Software Vendors (ISV) to extend its ERP offerings[15][16].
Awards and Recognition
[edit]Western Computer has been named to Microsoft’s Inner Circle for Business Applications for 2024/205 and has been a Microsoft Partner of the Year Finalist for three consecutive years, 2022, 2023, and 2024[17]. It ranks on industry lists such as ERP Global Insights, formerly known as Bob Scott’s Top 100 VARs, and Accounting Today’s VAR 100. On G2, Western Computer is consistently recognized as a leader in the Microsoft Consulting Services category, receiving high customer satisfaction scores and four consecutive quarterly leadership rankings as of 2025[18][19]
Merger of Solution Systems, Inc. (SSI)
[edit]In March 2025, Western Computer announced a merger with Solution Systems, Inc. (SSI), a Microsoft Dynamics partner based in Illinois[20]. SSI brought decades of experience in Dynamics 365 Business Central and managed IT services to the Western Computer portfolio. The acquisition expands Western Computer’s capabilities in Microsoft Modern Workplace and Managed Support Services.
