Voruganti Srinivas
[edit]Voruganti Srinivas (born 1 September 1966) is an Indian civil servant and the current President of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), elected for the 2025–2028 term[1] . A senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), he serves as Secretary to the Government of India in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare[2] . He is recognized for his leadership in administrative reforms, digital governance, and international collaboration.
Early life and education
[edit]Srinivas was born on 1 September 1966. He earned a B.Tech and an M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1989 at the age of 22.

President of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS)
[edit]Voruganti Srinivas was elected President of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) on 3 June 2025 by the General Assembly, securing 61.70% of the votes in a democratic process involving IIAS members worldwide.[3]
In an interview published on 13 June 2025, President Srinivas outlined his vision, priorities, and plans to guide IIAS as a future-ready, inclusive, and globally connected institution. He emphasized the importance of making IIAS more inclusive, innovative, and impactful by engaging diverse voices from both the Global North and South, bridging academia and practice, and empowering the next generation of governance leaders.[4]
Initiatives
[edit]- Developed and expanded CPGRAMS, the world’s largest citizen grievance redressal platform, recognized by the Commonwealth Secretariat.
- Digitized AIIMS New Delhi into India's first fully digital public hospital.
- Led the implementation of e-Office, Bhavishya, and the Digital Central Secretariat.
- Conducted annual Civil Services Day events and national campaigns to promote efficiency and good governance.

[edit]Srinivas was a national-level badminton player, winning the Narang Cup (1984) and leading Osmania University to national championships. His areas of interest include public policy, digital governance, public finance, international relations, and citizen-centric service delivery.
