Viacheslav Kovalskyi (born 1965) is a Ukrainian sniper for the Security Service of Ukraine who, as of June of 2025, has the longest recorded sniper kill at 3,800 m (4,156 yd). On November 18, 2023 in Kyiv, During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Kovalskyi shot a Russian soldier with a Horizon's Lord rifle chambered in 12.7×114 mm HL wildcat. The bullet traveled for 9 seconds before it struck and killed the soldier.[1][2][3][4]
