Venkitesh V P is an Indian actor who works primarily in Malayalam cinema and is set to debut in Telugu cinema with the film Kingdom (2025). He gained recognition through the Malayalam reality show Nayika Nayakan in 2018, where he won the title of Best Comedian.[1]

Early life and career beginnings

Venkitesh began his career in the Malayalam film industry as a background artist, appearing in films such as Velipadinte Pusthakam (2017) and Odiyan (2018).[2] He gained public attention through the Malayalam reality television show Nayika Nayakan in 2018, which was judged by Lal Jose and other industry figures. His performance earned him the title of Best Comedian in the finale.[1]

Film career

Following his appearance on television, Venkitesh made his acting debut in the film Stand Up (2019). He later played a supporting role in the Mammootty-starrer The Priest (2021).[2] He went on to appear in other Malayalam and Tamil-language films, including Khokho and Rebel.

In 2025, he made his Telugu debut in the film Kingdom, where he portrayed the antagonist alongside Vijay Deverakonda. His speech at the film's pre-release event in fluent Telugu went viral, attracting attention across multiple South Indian states.[3]

Entrepreneurship

In addition to acting, Venkitesh co-founded a small food venture called Suda Suda Idli in Trivandrum in 2024. He personally prepares and serves food, which has contributed to his image as a grounded public figure.[3]

Venkitesh holds a postgraduate degree (M.Com) and began his career in cinema as a background artist. He appeared in films such as Mizhi Thurakku, Velipadinte Pusthakam, and Odiyan. His early interest in performance eventually led him to audition for the Malayalam reality television show Nayika Nayakan in 2018, where he gained public attention for his expressive and comic performances.
