The Veitshöchheim Geniza Project was founded in 1998 at the Veitshöchheim Jewish Cultural Museum in order to examine, describe, and inventory the various geniza finds kept there in a systematic, uniform way.
The information on the individual texts is collected in an accessible database. The project was funded by the municipality of Veitshöchheim, the district of Lower Franconia, and the Landesstelle für die nichtstaatlichen Museen in Bayern (State Office for Non-State Museums in Bavaria).
